Google Spa pop-up experience

The Edit team were briefed with creating a relaxing and different afternoon activity as part of a larger conference programme for the Google EMEA team. The ideal option was relaxing treatments for the team in an informal environment. It was also important to allow delegates to socialise at the same time. A private space, as opposed to a public spa was preferred yet the calm, pampering atmosphere was a key part of the brief. The Google Spa was created. The hotel conference rooms which were being used throughout the day were completely transformed into relaxed, zen like environments. 

Treatments

Guests could pre-book their treatments ahead of attending the spa. They could choose from hair styling, make-up, manicures, pedicures, head, neck or shoulder and arm massages. On arrival gets visited the Zen Room. This was a candlelit space filled with aromatherapy scents, low seating, magazines and relaxing music. 

 

The spa

The main room featured numerous spa stations tailored to the treatment. Manicure stations and massage stations were popular. For hair and make up we installed raised tables with large gold gilt mirrors for guests to see their transformations. The raised platform saw pedicure spots with pink chairs for the guests and stools for the therapists. Copper bowls were perfect for guests to soak their feet prior to the treatment. The areas felt luxurious and fun yet with a serene and calm feel. Magazines and scented candles were dotted around the space to complete the spa feel. Guest feedback was extremely positive with everyone commenting on how relaxed they felt following the afternoon.
