On a wonderfully sunny day we laid the tables and added the final touches for the afternoon tea baby shower of Madeleine Shaw, the renowned health & wellness blogger. The venue was chosen for how light and bright it is. Clifton Nurseries has the most incredible natural light in their gorgeous conservatory. It was the perfect space for an intimate afternoon tea.
A HEALTHY AFTERNOON TEA
Of course any afternoon tea baby shower for Madeleine needed to be healthy. We worked with amazing suppliers to create the most amazing menu. Mon Amie designed and baked delicious cakes, all refined sugar free, dairy free treats. Each cake was topped with edible flowers perfecting the cake table. Similarly it was important the soft drinks choices were excellent. We worked with the venue to offer an extensive list of gorgeous herbal teas designed to compliment the food on offer.
We work hard to ensure that every baby shower is made to feel personal by the little touches. Throughout the afternoon tea these shone through. The traditional 'guess the baby picture' game was given an elegant twist as pictures were displayed within copper frames and dotted within the vintage ladder display. Guests then made their best guesses on their floral answer cards. Everyone also had the chance to offer their tips and advice to the new mum with a bottle of notes which was filled throughout the afternoon tea.

Madeleine Shaw's Baby Shower
The menus for the day were scribed with gorgeous calligraphy directly onto to doilies. These worked so well with the tables and also acted as placemats. Each place setting also had a small bubble vase filled with colourful flowers which stood out wonderfully in the white, light room.
In addition, to add a final 'pop' to the party, we added incredible Bubblegum Balloons. Huge clear balloons were filled with ivy which also had a long trailing ivy tail. These worked so well for pictures and also for Boomerangs and added that fun touch to the space whilst being perfectly in keeping with organic floral surroundings.
