Exodus Travels were launching a new campaign highlighting some of their unique travel programmes. The idea for the event was to showcase the diversity of the travel experiences as well as some of the unique elements of the trips. Hosting the event also allowed the online brand to come to life in front of key influencers, press and travel writers.
THE GUEST EXPERIENCE
Select guests were asked to attend the event with a personal invite. On arrival they were given three postcards which allowed them to experience elements of three tour destinations. The selected countries were China, Finland and Costa Rica. Costa Rica saw guests putting together 'Rainforest bubbles' - mini hanging terrariums containing succulents and cacti. Within the China area guests could make their own fortune cookies with personalised fortunes. On the outdoor terrace, a distilling experience with Finnish vodka and a range of botanicals and flavourings showcased Finland.
The venue lent itself well to the theme and therefore we added to the decor to link everything to the brand. The shelves were filled to the brim with artefacts and travel items representing the vast array of tours on offer. Each item was tagged with more detail of the trip. In addition around the venue each photo fame was changed to include images from the tour destinations. The styling allowed guests a true insight into the huge range of tour on offer.
A bespoke menu was created to link to the tours. Each canapé and bowl on offer referenced a tour. For example 'Transylvanian forest mushroom tartlets' represented the 'Highlights of Romania' trip. The 'Alpkas Bisquit' were a link to the 'Trails of the Swiss Alps' tour. In addition, the drinks menu linked also. The 'Cozy Chalet Cognac' was mixed for the 'Mont Blanc Highlights' trip and the 'Cuppa Calcutta' for the Northern India tour. Each food and drink item served was personalised to the brand and linked.
